BRENT DEANERY SYNOD REPORT 2006-2007 There were again three meetings of Brent Deanery Synod during the year, and the representatives attended the first two. In June at Holy Innocents Kingsbury the Revd Fergus Capie, Willesden Inter Faith Adviser and Director of the London Inter Faith Centre, gave a presentation on Building Relationships with Other Faiths. He demonstrated through his own experiences what he felt our attitudes towards each other were, and posed questions to promote a discussion. In October at St Mark’s Harlesden there was feedback on the Parish Visits, consideration of the Brent Mission Action Plan and an introduction to London Challenge 2. No representative of St Mary’s was able to attend the final meeting in February at St Andrew’s Sudbury. It had the theme Being Attentive to God and was to be an open synod to inspire and encourage our prayer life. Rev. Simon Pothen was to speak, followed by a number of workshops.
