Dear All,
On Tuesday, 14 February, we will have our monthly "Second Tuesday" evening singing at St. Mary's Parish Centre in Willesden, London, NW10.
I will do a 20-minute crash course for "beginners" starting at 7:00 pm; we will begin the regular evening singing at around 7.30 pm.
The singing is held at:
St. Mary's Church,
The Parish Centre,
18 Neasden Lane
London
NW10 2TS
Please bring a Sacred Harp (1991 edition) if you have one; some loaners
will be available.
We will sing at the Parish Centre, not the church proper. The Parish
Centre is the 1970s building on the other side of the churchyard from
St. Mary's Church.
You are always welcome to come for a while and then leave
when convenient to you. There is no requirement that you arrive or
leave on time, but it would be good if we could aim to have a core
group in the square and singing by 7.30 pm. We will start when we
have enough singers to make the square.
We will have a break with tea and biscuits at some point, and will
generally aim to close up before 10 pm.
St. Mary's Church is within walking distance of Neasden tube (Jubilee
line, zone 3), and it is also easy to park there. The best parking is
in the cul-de-sac which runs BEHIND the churchyard, because the road
has unrestricted parking.
Other Sacred Harp events:
1st Tuesday 7 February 7.30 pm: Heath Street Baptist Church
and
3rd Monday, 20 February 7.15 pm St. George's Church, Bloomsbury.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
