Activities
Children play and learn through activities which are arranged in areas according to the Early Years Curriculum to promote the Early Learning Goals. We have in place both the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and the Birth to Three Matters Curriculum.
Garden Play
We have a large garden which is accessible at all times. There is a digging patch, large natural construction and many other activities to promote the Early Years Curriculum.
Outdoor play is essential to children’s learning, so we go out whatever the weather. Please provide appropriate clothing, eg waterproof coat and boots, hat, scarf and gloves, all labelled with the child’s name.
We take children out locally, for example to the market, post office or shops.
If we arrange a big outing it is for all the children and their families. The Nursery will be closed on that day, so if you are unable to come you will need to make alternative childcare arrangements.
