This Month

Dear brothers and sisters

We're certainly beginning this month with a bang! By the time you read this the Pilgrimage will have happened, and this is therefore a chance for me to say in writing a huge thank you to all those who worked to make it happen. A really powerful, collaborative effort: thank you!

We have the added bonus this month of two students on placement from theological college (St Stephen's House in Oxford). They are Lee Clarke (with his wife Eileen) and Oliver Welsford. They will be taking part in all we do, and all I do during the week, so please extend the usual St Mary's welcome and hospitality.

As if that wasn't enough riches, we also have a visit from the new Archdeacon, the Ven Duncan Green – his Visitation, indeed, a formal inspection of what we do and how we do it. He will be here on Sunday July 21, and will preach at the Parish Mass. I hope we show him all that is good about our life together here.

Have a good (and warm, let's hope) July. And don't forget the Parish BBQ at my house – Saturday July 27th at 1pm.

With all good wishes in Christ

Fr Andrew
